Prayer
Surgery Day – September 28, 1998
9:02 a.m.
Divine Puissance, descend into her today, heal all that is suffering and failing, infuse her body with Thy concrete Peace, Thy rapture of delight and the sweetness of Thy touch on her human heart.
9:05 a.m.
In these long and painful moments when nothing I can see and with the limited progress of this soul, nothing know, I trust alone to Thy wisdom, Thy divine beneficence and Thy love for this special earth and Thy errant children who struggle so violently with the unseen and the unknown, with the forces of greed, ego, ambition, hatred and rage: descend here and heal the disparate energies that tear the fabric of our unity and separate us from Thy light.
But today, my prayer is for Thy child, Mary Helen. Heal her, O Mother, enfold and embrace thy child.
9:12 a.m.
Sri Aurobindo, Lord and Master.
To how many millions hast Thou granted succor and relief from the ignorance and pains of life. Mother gave Mary Helen the mantra: “Sri Aurobindo is my refuge”, in Sanskrit, and she has repeated it all the days of this pained and poignant journey. Let her take sole refuge in Thee, O Lord, and bless her effort on the way.
